Apache/WordPress .htaccess: assist with setting up Rewrites/reverse proxy – Upwork

Looking for an expert in Apache/WP htaccess configuration to assist with configuring the correct rules to get a reverse proxy set up as I desire. Your deliverable will be: 1 htaccess file with the given rules implemented, documentation around the specific configurations, and a 30-60 minute video call with me to answer any questions.

Specifically this is what I’m looking to do-

– On a WordPress server for domain xyz.com, serve content from a different server based on the URL path specified
– For example, xyz.com/usa/[state]/[city] should run through the reverse proxy and serve content from another server (123.com). All other URL requests that don’t match the format of /usa/.+/.+ should remain with the WP server.
– For a given request to the server 123.com, I need to understand what we can specify in the request. For example, can we route the request to 123.com/xyz/[usa]/[state]/[city]? Or 123.com?domain=xyz.com&state=[state]&city=[city] ?
– Any other configurations I need to be aware of to ensure the reverse proxy works as expected (it should be transparent to the user that the content is coming from different servers, SSLs work correctly, etc)

Thanks,
Kyle
