OVERVIEW
Our digital marketing agency is in need of a developer to migrate a website currently built in SHOPIFY to WordPress and Elementor. The client has agreed to migrate the website to WordPress only if it looks exactly like the existing site. We encourage the transfer to WordPress for its reliability, ease of use, and SEO value.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a developer who can build out the website in Elementor while keeping the number of additional plugins to a minimum. In the past we have worked with developers who used 10’s of additional plugins instead of just using the built in features of Elementor because they were rushing the job. Our goal is to develop high performance websites with sleek front-ends and streamlined backends.
We will give you access to our demo server and demo WordPress installation. On that WordPress installation we will provide you with Elementor Pro and the theme Hello Elementor. If requested, we will install Ultimate Add-Ons For Elementor.
We want someone who will take the time to build out global headers and footers so when we need to make changes; we don’t have to make it to every page.
HEADER TAGS
We also want the developer to understand search engine optimization and (more importantly) the structure of title tags. We are very particular about ensuring the page only has an H1 tag, and the rest of the title tags are correctly nested. IMAGES
Any images uploaded should be in a webp format as we want to make sure the website loads as quickly as possible. If you cannot facilitate a webp format, please use JPG and compress them using compressjpeg.com or a similar tool.
PAYMENTS
Please make sure that you take the time to evaluate the job listing along with the client website. We will not approve any mid-project pricing increase. Once you give us a quote, we give that price to the client and only then do we proceed.
CLIENT COMMUNICATION
In the next paragraph, I will be providing a link to my client’s website. The client is not handling this job, so attempting to communicate with them to circumvent Upwork will not do you any good. It will also result in a report to Upwork and a permanent ban on any of our future jobs.
