I have a new exciting Technology Blog that I am seeking a new logo identify to use with this project.

This WordPress based blog is a work in progress and as I complete various steps wish to include the new logo before I go into the promotion stage. I am using a free theme currently but do own the J news theme, for maybe future expansion, right now I like the simplicity of the free theme.
The current theme (Inspiro), according to what it is telling me has a 512 * 512 is the icon that appears in the address bar, so will never truly by viewable, but a neat touch
The theme suggested header image is 400 * 100, like a page header, so if i put a placeholder in the place it would look like this (on a preview, not live)
The other big area is the "About me" Page, again I’m using a place holder free use image, the pages are also available from links in the header (and sidebars)

I would like some design that has a “Technology Hamster” look about it, it could be more of a comic style, I am open to creative ideas.
